Terms of Use
Effective date: {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}} · Last updated: 10 June 2026 (draft)
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sugar Sakhi web app (sugarsakhi.com/app) and this website (together, the “Service”), operated by {{LEGAL ENTITY NAME}} (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
The app supports the care of children under 18 and is operated on the child’s behalf by a parent or lawful guardian. Patients are enrolled by a treating clinician. By creating or operating an account you confirm you are the child’s parent/guardian (or an authorised clinician) and have authority to provide consent.
2. What the Service is, and is not
- It helps families log daily diabetes data and gives their clinician a dashboard and safety alerts.
- It provides general education only through its AI assistant.
- It is not a substitute for in-person medical care, monitoring, or emergency services.
- It makes no guarantee that a clinician has seen or will respond to any entry within a particular time. A “seen” status appears only when a clinician has actually acknowledged it.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in (mobile number) secure.
- Use the Service only for the child’s care, not for any unlawful purpose.
- Continue to follow your care team’s instructions; seek in-person care when needed.
- Do not attempt to extract another patient’s data or interfere with the Service’s security.
4. The AI assistant
The assistant answers general questions from a curated education library. It will refuse dosing questions and direct you to your care team. Do not rely on it for clinical decisions. See our Privacy Policy for how questions are processed.
5. Pilot status & availability
Sugar Sakhi is offered as part of a pilot. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. {{Counsel to set the liability framing appropriate to a health pilot.}}
7. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in the app and the “last updated” date will change.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra having jurisdiction. {{Confirm jurisdiction and clause wording with counsel.}}
